This is an opportunity to get scientists directly involved in the discussion. Experienced science or health journalists will inevitably have a list of reliable scientific sources, to find out what is new in the field of research and to explain the evolving science for both HIV and AIDS and SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19.

Contacts can always be added to lists. Inviting a scientist/s to discuss a topic and answer questions is an excellent way to keep audiences informed about research and clear up misconceptions (as well as respond to myths and rumours) when needed.

Scientists could be interviewed on topics including:

  • The use of mRNA technology for the development of a vaccine to prevent HIV.
  • What lessons have we learned from the COVID-19 pandemic that can be applied to the HIV global epidemic?
